The ITU has released the dates for the 2010 Short Course Duathlon World Championship in Edinburgh, Scotland: September 3-5. The city held host to the European Championships in 2007, so this is nothing new to them. Read the full press release at duathlon.com.

Are you planning going to Scotland next year.

I registered today for the ITU Duathlon World Championship in Concord, NC. I'm stoked. My training has stepped up too, in preparation for duathlon nationals. I'm almost completely focused on running, as that's my limiter. Having competed in bike racing for 13 years, I can get back the bike form fairly quickly.

It's consistency that matters in training. I've made myself a plan, and I'm sticking to it. Tomorrow, cruise intervals are on deck.

There seems to be a fair amount of buzz around duathlon with world's in the US. Will 2009 be a breakout year for duathlon?
